Just a swingin'

Bill's love for swinging has been passed along to Henry. He put this swing up about two weeks ago and when it's warm outside Henry gets lots of time in it.

Bill had back surgery last Thursday and, by doctor's orders, has to stay home for a week. He was also told to start walking and work up to 40 mins a day. Henry, Nelle and I have thoroughly enjoyed Bill's time at home. We walk every morn and every night... and now we are swinging at 9 a.m.! We generally aren't this busy so early in the morning, but it's been good for the babes to get out and get the day started early.

If you know Bill, then you know he can't sit still. I think his time at home is secretly killing him, but he's being a good patient and following orders. He will return to work on Friday (I'll be his chauffeur for about a month) and we'll miss him during the day, but I'm sure he'll be glad to go back.

Oh Henry!

This is probably terribly to blog... but Henry had his first fall while learning to walk. He is ALL BOY... my little WILD MAN... never a dull moment at the Robertson house!! While he is completely the delight and joy of my life, he is also wearing me out! Phew! I think I secretively love it, but I'm glad Lindsay and David are coming in two weeks for the weekend... mommy needs a little time off.

We do have fun though. Especially when Dad gets home from work and we take wagon rides! Henry and Nelle sit and watch for Bill starting around 5:30. WELL.... Nelle starts watching, while Henry just wants to do what Nelle does.

staying home with Henry

Henry and I have finally begun to adjust to being home together all day, everyday. We find fun, new projects daily. For example, Bill hung a swing in the backyard this weekend for Henry, so we discovered today that Henry likes to swing as much as his father. He was giddy! I laughed so hard my neighbors thought something was wrong. We have also figured out that Mama Dear's furniture on the screened porch is indestructible. One other thing... the sink is one of Henry's favorite spots - which is actually good for me because he gets stuck and can't fall off the lavatory when I'm getting ready in the mornings. The downside of this... he likes my toothbrush.
