a visit from a cousin

Henry's great-great, or maybe it's third, cousin Lynda Knight Woodall came by for a visit this week. Lynda is Big Bill's first cousin. Also, Patsy has been keeping Henry since I've gone back to work. They have so much fun together.... and I think Nelle is jealous!

Henry's big weekend

We went to Eufaula on Friday night to see Big Bill, Keitt, Mom and Dad. We met Rascal (the Robertson's new pup) and hung out until dinner. Dad and I cooked dinner while Mom and Bill took care of Henry and Nelle. After spending the night with Mom and Dad, we went back to the Robertsons on Saturday for a pool party! Granddaddy Bill bought Henry a tugboat for the pool. Henry loved it! After the pool, he was worn out!! We went back to Mom and Dad's and gave him a bath and headed back to Montgomery. Aunt Molly kept him Saturday night so we could go hear Huey Lewis and the News at Jubilee. On Sunday, we went to the Jinks' cabin in Union Springs. Mrs. Charlotte kept Henry while Nathan, Vaughn, Bill, Mr. Lynn, and I went on a mule ride. Mr. Lynn and Mrs. Charlotte made dinner for us and we all visited and enjoyed watching Henry sleep then fuss (as always!). He was actually pretty good... and he's getting better everyday!

Today we had our first shots. I think it bothered me more than Henry, but we did great! I'm glad this round is over - two months until we have to do that again. Henry weighs 12 lbs and 13 oz and is 23.5 inches long! He's above average for weight and average on his height - Dr. Glover was very happy. Thanks Jenn for calming me down before going! :)

Henry's first STNP!

Bill, Henry, and I went to Sandestin (yes, for the second weekend in a row!) for Bill's Alabama Young Lawyers conference. We thought we'd let Henry stay in Eufaula for the weekend with Gramps Gaither and Coco - also to see Poppa (Big Bill) and Keitt - but I chickened out at the last minute.... imagine that! So, Mom and Dad rented a unit in Sandestin and kept Henry Friday night until Sunday. We of course saw him a little on Saturday, but had our nights to sleep - poor Mom and Dad! Henry enjoyed his first spend-the-night party (STNP).

We went to Sandestin this weekend for the Alabama section of ACOG (OB-GYN's) conference for my work. I am officially back at work. Wow! Time is flying by. Henry is 8 weeks old this weekend. He enjoyed his first experience with sand and sea. He's definitely a Gaither-Robertson! We are beach lovers! Bill and I have always said the beach is our "happy place".

Henry's first birthday party

Henry attended his first birthday party. Anna Belle Brown turned 1 on Friday and so we went over for hamburgers and hotdogs. Here's a picture of Anna Belle, Henry, and Claire with their moms.
