What an amazing weekend! To have family come from all over to celebrate Henry's baptism. Lindsay called it a baby wedding... ha! With the gown and guests and all the pictures! There are a lot posted. Uncle Rique and Ilene came from Houston, Uncle Jim and Aunt Gigi came from Birmingham, as did our cousins Robert, Jennifer and Tate Robertson, Big Bill and Keitt and Mom and Dad came from Eufaula, and Lindsay, Will and Margaret came from Atlanta! Molly, Eric, Alyce and Patsy of course live here, and we are so glad everyone was here.

Friday night, Uncle Ric, Ilene, Mom, Dad, Bill, Henry and I went to Sinclair's in Cloverdale for dinner. Then, Saturday morning Dad and I picked up Ric from his hotel and went to the Curb Market for fresh veggies. If you've never been there... you're missing out! We got fresh corn, peas, peaches, tomatoes and homemade jam. Ric and Ilene visited with us at our house all day Saturday until Bill and I went to Anna Cook and Graves McKee's wedding Saturday night. They stayed with mom and dad and babysat Henry. Of course, Sunday was the big day for Henry... he missed his morning nap, so in many of the pics after the service he is out of his gown and sleeping soundly. We had lunch at the Montgomery Country Club and then returned home to visit before everyone had to travel home.

It was a fun and amazing weekend. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful church to be a part of and such incredible family to support us during the special times in life.

Uncle Rique is here!

Henry is being baptized this Sunday, so Uncle Rique and Ilene are in town for the occasion. They drove 12 or 13 hours from Houston, Texas, to be here with us for the weekend. I've met Ilene before, but the rest of the Carson-Gaither family has not... so it's a double fun occasion. The Robertsons are coming on Sunday and we'll all have lunch at the club afterwards. Henry is going to have a BIG weekend!! I'll post pics on Sunday or Monday. However, I wanted to put this one out there .... 4 generations on the Carson side (Uncle Rique - my grandfather's brother, Mom, me and Henry).

Henry and the mirror

I get an email once a week that tells me how my child should be developing and what's average for his age. Last week, babycenter.com said Henry should recognize faces in the mirror... not necessarily his or mine or even know which is which (that will happen at 6 mos of age), but just see a face and be happy. Here's our first experience.

Monday was a big day for us - Sarah, our summer "nanny", started. She is so great and Henry loves her! We are so lucky that she could work with us until we can start daycare. We are on a waiting list for ECDC (early childhood development center) at First Methodist, but it's evidentally a long list. I'm actually glad we haven't been accepted yet... I want Henry home as long as possible!

Carson-Gaither beach trip

We spent last week with Mom's family (the Carsons) in Seagrove beach. Aunt Gigi, Uncle Jim, Jimbo Carson and Hayley, Jimbo and Carson Tucker. Lindsay and Will came from Atlanta and Bill joined us on Wednesday - just in time for the 4th. The pictures tell all - Henry was the center of attention! Along with Carson, who is 14 months. We had so much fun and didn't want to come back to work this week. Lindsay has more pictures, so I'll post them as soon as I get them.
