Key West 2010

Last weekend, Bill, Henry and I visited Poppa in Key West. It was a wonderful trip. Sometimes it is just nice to get away in the middle of winter! We flew down on Saturday, and like so many others I dread flying. But! Henry was a great distraction. He loved being in the airplane. Planes are one of his favorites these days (along with the choo-choo train). When we landed it was somewhat abrupt since they have a short landing pad. Well, Henry yelled with joy at the bumps and brakes being pumped and everyone seemed to think he was quite funny. That was after he ran the aisle during the flight flirting with two cute girls in first class... I'm sure the others enjoyed that! Ha!!
We walked everywhere, mostly the docks and Duval (Henry enjoyed people-watching), and took Henry to Mallory square one night at sunset. The food was fantastic and of course, we loved being with Poppa. Here are a few pictures from our trip. Did I mention that we bought a keylime pie the afternoon we arrived and it was gone by day 3. Yummy!

A Robertson Christmas

We started the festivities with the Carsons and Gaithers at Lake Martin. We celebrated birthdays and Christmas. Everyone had so much fun with the Wii, the Rudolph red noses and each other. The boys (Carson, Caleb and Henry) had matching pajamas and were so cute!
On the 19th, we drove to Dothan for the Robertson Christmas party. Bob & Margie have four granddaughters, so Henry got a good dose of dresses and tiaras! As always, it was a great time with family.
On the 23rd, we met Lindsay, David, Mom, Dad and Rique (who drove in from Houston!) at Huggin' Molly's in Abbeville. It has become a tradition to meet there for Mom's birthday every year. Then, we drove to Eufaula for the Blackmon Christmas party (Keitt's family). We spent the night with Poppa and Keitt and Santa came early to see Henry at Poppa's on Christmas Eve.
We returned home to attend our Candlelight Service at church with Tish, Winn, Molly, Eric, Alyce, Billy and Bill's cousin and her husband (3rd cousin), Lynda and Stormy. Afterwards, everyone joined us for dinner at our house. We put "Santa" toys together after Henry fell sound asleep, and just enjoyed being together on a wet, cold Christmas Eve night.
On Christmas day, Molly, Eric, Alyce, Billy, Tish and Winn came back to see what Santa left for Henry.... he must have been a GOOD boy!!! After brunch, we returned to Eufaula to have dinner with the Gaithers, Bowmans, and Williams.
It was a wonderful Christmas!! We are so thankful for our families. Henry is a lucky little boy to have so many that want to spend time with him at such a special time of year.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
